Holiday Children Have Free Entry to Thuringian Outdoor Pools

Children up to the age of 14 have free entry to several Thuringian outdoor pools during the summer holidays. For example in Jena and Rudolstadt. Sondershausen opens its doors on the last day of school.

During the summer holidays, children up to the age of 14 can visit several outdoor pools in Thuringia free of charge. For example the East and South Baths in Jena . Both outdoor pools are open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the holidays. But even for free entry, children must present a ticket.

The holiday campaign is made possible by Jena’s baths, the city, the “Carl Zeiss” housing association and a food manufacturer. According to the Jena baths, more than 44,700 bath visitors have been counted in the south and east baths since the start of the season in May.

Children up to the age of 14 also have free entry to the outdoor pool in Rudolstadt’s Heinepark during the summer holidays.

Sondershausen also invites schoolchildren to swim for free – but only on the last day of school. All children and young people up to the age of 17 can use the “Sonnenblick” mountain pool or the Großfurra outdoor pool without admission after the certificate has been handed over.
