Anyone born in 2004 or later can use the summer holiday ticket from NAH.SH for 44 euros to travel by bus and train as often as they like from 15 July to 27 August. There is also reduced entry into some museums, swimming pools or parks.
The summer holidays are just around the corner – July 14th is the last day of school. The day after, young people can use the summer holiday ticket. The transport association NAH.SH offers this ticket for the entire school holidays for 44 euros. Anyone born in 2004 or later can use these buses and trains until August 27th:
- All local trains (RE, RB, NBE, AKN, erixx, neg, Arriva) for 2nd class in Schleswig-Holstein and to Hamburg-Altona or Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and Tønder St. (Denmark)
- All local buses in Schleswig-Holstein (except for long-distance buses and airport buses)
- the buses on the North Sea islands of Sylt, Föhr and Amrum (but not the ferry service to the islands)
The ticket also gives you free or discounted entry to around 40 partners (e.g. Elmshorn Industrial Museum, GEOMAR Kiel Aquarium, SEA LIFE Timmendorfer Strand, HolstenTherme Kaltenkirchen, Neumünster Zoo). NAH.SH has summarized the details in a flyer.
Tickets available at known locations
The summer holiday ticket is available from all transport companies in Schleswig-Holstein: at ticket machines and counters, outside of the city services in Kiel, Flensburg and Neumünster, also on the bus. In Hamburg, it is available from DB and NBE ticket machines and in DB travel centers.
