Caroline Foster, the founder of the BHAM Babes Walking Club, started this Facebook group on April 3, 2023, and as of today, the group has gained over 3,000 members.
Members of the club all meet together in local parks and take a walk up to two miles long. Caroline Foster started this club for a reason: She wanted to make friends. More than that, she wanted to create a space where women over 18 could easily make friends in the city.
#Hotgirls don’t just walk nowadays
BHAM Babes is a community of women of all ages and fitness levels who come together to walk five times a week and participate in workout classes, networking events, and delightful group outings. BHAM Babes engage in a wide range of activities together:
- Bouquet making classes
- Clothes swaps
- Mountain Hikes
- Seeing movies like “Barbie”
- Scavenger Hunts
- Yoga Classes
How BHAM Babes got their name
BHAM Babes Facebook group began with a different name, inspired by the fun #HotGirlWalk trend on TikTok. The #HotGirlWalk trend is when you go for a walk at your own pace, and on that walk, you focus on things like what you are grateful for, your goals in life, and how hot you are!
However, Mia Lind, the influencer who coined the phrase and ultimately copyrighted the trend, informed BHAM Babes that nobody was allowed to use the #HotGirlWalk name without the club members paying a fee.
Admins like Katie Cox and founder Caroline Foster are striving to create a free, safer, and more wholesome refuge for the babes of Bham!
