Two people have been rescued from a vehicle in the water at a north coast beach.
HM Coastguard said it was tasked to Downhill Beach following reports of a vehicle in the water on Wednesday afternoon.
The alert was raised at around 3.40pm and Coleraine and Ballycastle Coastguard Rescue Teams were sent to the scene.
Two fire appliances from Coleraine Fire Station, a Water Rescue Team from Crescent Link and a Specialist Rescue Team were also in attendance
Firefighters attended a “water rescue of two people from a vehicle in approximately two feet of water” at the Benone end of the beach.
A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Both casualties were checked over by NIAS and with no injuries.
